Well its official.. Smita Patil is going to be the next President of India.
The former Bollywood actress and known to be a mean tea maker is to head to Rashtrapati Bhavan.
It is said that she will attempt to visit all rooms of the Rashtrapati Bhavan, a feat that has not been matched by any President since Shankar Dayal Sharma.
While i have not watched any movies of hers, sources have confirmed that her on screen chemistry with Amitabh Bacchan (known commonly as the Big 'A') endeared her to Sonia Gandhi (known as 'that foriegn origin issue') causing her nomination.
The Left who were earlier looking for a fat person to be the next President gave in due to the weighty performances she had put in during her career.
The BJP is still backing its old horse Mallika Sherawat. When asked about her dubious body suit dance on new years eve, Rajnath Singh said:
'Dont ask me. My job is to make sure Arun Jaitley doesnt get any importance.'
Maya Aunty who after much begging and pleading managed to convince the working committee of the BSP to empower her to take a decision on the matter has said she will support the Congress.
In other news the Taj Mahal has been converted into a mall.
When contacted for his reaction the perenial presidential bridesmaid, Karan Singh, quipped:
'The best man doesnt always win. Sometimes it's a woman'

wonderful...suddenly i am discovering an all to unhealthy an interest in politics....i am keeping my hopes up with mayawati though....always liked the idea of a qutub minar as a multi storey shopping complex....starting from a general store in the ground floor to an exclusive jewellery store in the topmost one
i was hoping the top floor would be a sea food restuarant...
